Could you explain the challenges you faced in making Heroes from Heaven: Battleground Earth?
"Heroes from Heaven: Battleground Earth" was a creative journey like no other. The screenplay is adapted from my book—of which I actually hold the rights to two different versions. The book itself is rich with detail, so translating that depth onto the big screen was a challenge in balancing information without sacrificing the core action or the dynamic characters that drive the story.
Screenwriting is a very different beast from writing a book. It requires a precise structure and a strategic thought process. To bring it all together, I collaborated with another writer who helped refine key elements like the setup, confrontation, and resolution—ensuring that each part of the story hit the necessary beats. We also worked carefully on what I call the "sluggo's"—slug lines—alongside crisp action lines and dialogue that really brings the characters to life.
Honestly, writing a screenplay is a bit like preparing a dissertation. It takes more than one set of eyes to make sure everything flows properly and holds up structurally. That collaboration and revision process is crucial to delivering a final draft that's both engaging and professionally polished.

The synopsis mentions a leader who joins forces with ancient biblical heroes to end an oppressive reign. What inspired this concept, and how does it relate to the themes of decision-making and confrontation in the script?
Yes, the synopsis captures the essence perfectly, setting the stage for a gripping and emotionally charged journey. LaChain, the formidable Leader of the UnderLand, finds himself entangled in a battle far greater than any war—one that spans both the spiritual and psychological realms. As he joins forces with legendary biblical figures to confront tyrannical forces, LaChain is also locked in a brutal internal war against his own demons.
Haunted by past choices and seduced by the lure of power, LaChain is pulled between light and darkness, good and evil. His moral compass begins to fracture under the weight of oppression and ambition, forcing him into a soul-shaking reckoning: will he rise as a savior or fall as a tyrant?
The screenplay hurls the audience into a cinematic whirlwind—a raw, relentless rollercoaster of faith, rebellion, and redemption. It’s not just a battle of worlds, but a battle of wills, and LaChain’s journey will leave viewers breathless, questioning the very nature of power, purpose, and destiny.

The duration of the script is the 120 (amazing) pagines! What was the development process like? Was it originally intended as a feature film format?
I knew the script would be lengthy, but I was relentless in keeping it under 120 pages, an unyielding boundary in the sacred art of screenwriting. That 120-page mark isn’t just a number; it’s the invisible line that separates novice from professional, a silent commandment whispered among storytellers. The process of crafting this screenplay was a thrilling journey fueled by my boundless imagination, as I breathed life into names, places, and scenarios that sprang from the depths of my creativity.
With every draft, the story morphed and deepened, transforming into what I proudly call a masterpiece because nothing like this has ever existed before. I recognized its singularity from the moment I penned the original book, and then, with unwavering vision, I translated it into a screenplay destined for the silver screen. This is not just a script, it’s a bold, groundbreaking creation, poised to redefine storytelling itself.
Given the enormous complexity of the environment, what are your expectations for filming? What essential requirements will be required for filming? (Technical and artistic)
The commencement of principal filming is contingent upon the sustained engagement of investor capital or, alternatively, a strategic decision to advance directly to content distribution channels. Oversight of this critical funding phase will be exclusively managed by my Executive Producer, Greg Schwabe, in collaboration with select senior team members. Greg, who serves as the CEO of G3 Films, has been instrumental in architecting and executing multi-project investment packages, leveraging his extensive network to secure and amplify investor interest not only for Heroes from Heaven but for our bundled portfolio of intellectual properties.
Heroes from Heaven represents a high-complexity production necessitating deployment of cutting-edge cinematic technologies, including state-of-the-art virtual production workflows, advanced real-time rendering systems, and international post-production pipelines. Our access to these technologies spans leading facilities across the United States and global partners, enabling a production caliber that meets and exceeds industry benchmarks.
Further, a comprehensive assessment of fiscal incentives, including potential tax credits or exemptions, will be conducted in due course, with analysis calibrated to maximize financial efficiencies in accordance with evolving regulatory frameworks.

Is the film already in the process of being filmed? What are its goals and what obstacles have you encountered?
The film is currently in pitch mode and is already receiving prestigious awards from around the globe. Our mission is to continue promoting and marketing it passionately until it secures distribution or the necessary funding. With my extensive experience as a college business profesor, specializing in marketing, promotion, economics, and various business disciplines, I am well-equipped to navigate and overcome any challenges that arise, including contracts, communication, adaptability, funding, and tax benefits. While filming outside the United States may present a challenge due to a potential 100% tax, we remain fully committed and confident that we will successfully bring this project to fruition.
You have a huge career in the academic world, but without leaving aside your passion for creativity and literature (with the 7 books you have already published). How have these experiences shaped your cinematic vision?
My academic journey is the product of decades of deep, diverse engagement across the educational spectrum, from K-12 classrooms to post-secondary institutions. But beyond the formal settings, it is my extensive experience with people from all walks of life, in a variety of cultures and countries, that has truly shaped me. Engaging with different communities, navigating unfamiliar territories, and adapting to unique challenges have not only broadened my perspective but ignited my creativity. I believe the greatest education comes not just from books, but from people—from understanding their stories, customs, and ways of thinking. This immersion in human diversity fuels innovation and elevates every aspect of my professional and personal life.

Federico Fellini once said that "all art is autobiographical." What elements do you find in the script that identify with him? Do you find similarities between the mission or decisions the protagonist or the setting must make and your personal life?
Federico Fellini was right, art does tell stories, but the best stories reflect the human soul. Heroes from Heaven: Battleground Earth does just that. It’s more than a film; it’s a mirror. It reveals who we are, who we could become, and why love is essential to our existence. Through characters like Leader LaChain, we witness not just a love story between people, but a deeper love, the kind that calls us to reflect, to believe, and to choose.
We are here to love because love is what defines and redeems us. When we look at one another with compassion, when we choose truth over pride, connection over isolation, that is when we fulfill our highest purpose. Watching this film, one may see how we often struggle to accept truth, the longing to understand life’s meaning, and the decision to live with love at the center.
Given the number of layers and depth of the story, how long did it take to develop?
As I mentioned before, Heroes from Heaven: Battleground Earth gradually evolved into a well-crafted work of art. The book itself took around four months to complete, as I worked on it intermittently, allowing time for ideas to develop naturally. The screenplay came together over the course of a couple of months, during which I carefully considered and refined updates. As new ideas emerged throughout the writing process, I made sure each revision aligned with the overall vision, ensuring the story remained cohesive and impactful.
What appeals to you about this style of writing and what kind of impact do you hope to have on the audience?
This style of writing is powerful because it speaks to the heart of every audience, it’s bold, captivating, and deeply moving. By weaving in biblical truths with electrifying drama and emotional intensity, I’ve created a story that doesn’t just entertain, it awakens. I want this film to leave a lasting impact, to ignite a deep awareness of God’s boundless love and unstoppable power, and to serve as a resounding wake-up call for how we’re living and treating one another across the globe.
The inspiration behind this vision is rooted in 2 Timothy 3, which paints a chilling portrait of the times we are living in:
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God—having a form of godliness but denying its power.”
This isn’t just scripture—it’s prophecy coming to life. And through this work, I want to stir souls, provoke thought, and challenge hearts to return to what truly matters: love, truth, and the transformative power of God.

Tell us three interesting facts everyone should consider to better appreciate the story. And tell us a detail that only you know and notice, but that would enrich us to know.
To truly grasp the weight of this story, there are a few powerful truths everyone must understand:
2 Timothy, Chapter 3 is no longer just scripture—it’s prophecy unfolding before our very eyes. The signs are everywhere, echoing across headlines, daily struggles, and the shifting moral fabric of our world.
As you watch this film, you won’t just see characters—you’ll see yourself. Your choices, your flaws, your triumphs. You’ll recognize faces that mirror your family, your friends, your enemies. It will challenge you to look inward and ask the question no one escapes: Whose side am I on? Good or evil? Light or darkness? Can you tell the difference anymore? And more importantly—do you know the truth?
But above all else, this story serves as a divine reminder: Love has already won. And in that victory lies our greatest hope.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to speak with you!
We will be attentive to your next jobs!
